About

In June of 2020, I got a planned-for whippet puppy, Knavey. A year and a half later in December of 2021, I got my second whippet, Lya.

Wanting to experience all the things I could do with my whippets, aside from their fantasitc ability to be couch companions, I started spectating at dog shows. Meeting people at these shows introduced me to the world of dog sports. In January 2022, I went to my first whippet straight racing event through the Continential Whippet Alliance’s regional club in Hull, GA. I started taking pictures and letting my dogs race at the second race meet I went to.

As Lya got older, she grew into a lovely example of the whippet conformation and temperment. With encouragement from others in the whippet world, I started showing her in AKC conformation shows with assistance from her breeder. Since then, she has won Reserve Winners Bitch at the Whippet National in 2023, completed her AKC championship, and received an Award of Merit at the Whippet National in 2025.

Finally, my whippets are not frisbee/agility nuts, so at the end of 2023, I decided to get a border collie. Early in 2024, I brought home Mazee. Mazee is my frisbee, agility, and herding dog. We plan to start competing with her in 2026. This will include expansion of my photography to these sports.

Clearly, one thing led to another and I have found that I not only love dog sports and doing things with my dogs, but I also love taking pictures of them.

I’m in the middle of South Carolina, about an hour from everything and I’m open to shooting anywhere within a reasonable driving distance.
